Raccoons are relatives of the bear family. Much like their cousins, they have a vast appetite and are great opportunists. They are also among the strongest and most intelligent animals you could find in your home. They can sneak in through chimneys, as well as where two different levels of the roof meet. They can cause plenty of damage while entering a building and can cause even more damage to your insulation. Their feces will create a strong odor and may even carry Round Worm. Raccoons can also be affected by rabies.
We use a wide variety of harmless techniques when dealing with raccoons. Live trapping is often used, as are one-way doors and exclusion. We also may use deterrents.
