Other common points of entry are missing or ill-fitting crawl space access doors, vent screens and spaces under garage doors.
Mice are mostly active at night so they are rarely seen. You may hear scratching or scurrying sounds in your walls or attic at night. You may open a cabinet or drawer and find a stash of food or signs of gnawing. The most common way to know is if you find mouse feces or droppings.). These droppings are 1/8″ to 1/4″ long and with pointed ends. If the droppings you find are significantly larger, you could have a rat problem as opposed to mice.
